So he'll be dead in it, then? :-( He won't be much good dead imo.

I'm not sure, I think he might reset rhe chronology, like he did with Peter Guillam before.

He can make the characters whatever ages he likes, tbh. It's all made up, anyhoo.

I don't believe you.

I don't believe you.

What gives you cause to question my integrity, peter?

I just cant believe that any mere mortal is capable of living with a secret of such import.

Well done, you (if true)

Well, it is true, and I agree with you that it has been quite the burden.

I know something else about it too but I can't tell you that yet, so I'm still suffering. :-(

Does he die in the end?

Does he die in the end?

No, not about the plot of the book. Other stuff. (The butler did it.)

About Le Carré or another author?

Has Patrick O'Brian come out of retirement? :cloud9:

It's Patrick O'Brian, isn't it? He's back. Or George McDonald Fraser?

After all, it's just 'resetting the chronology', isn't it?

:nono: Peter Guillam isn't real. I can decide he's 25, and not be wrong, because he's just pretendy. Patrick O'Brian was real, and now he's really dead, so if I decide he's still alive, I'm wrong.

I appreciate that the difference between reality and fiction can be tricky, b. If you rub your forehead against an artexed wall for a while, you might get it.

I don't mind so long as that Guinness-fraud doesn't get the nod in the inevitable film adaptation again.

You may consider your face slapped. Your choice of weapons. My seconds will call upon your seconds to arrange the details.

Patrick O'Brian was very much not real. A more fictional man you'd struggle to meet in a day's walk.
