will get you 6 points if you are seen touching the screen whilst driving. Yet I can use either the touchscreen satnav in the car or my Tom Tom in other car and not a thing the rozzers can do, odd

I was thinking this about playing music, as well. If I changed radio channels in my car, Plod wouldn't give a ****. Touch my phone to change music track, and I'm stuffed.

This is where 75 years of socialism has got us, you see.

can I touch the screen that's built in to the dashboard?

I can dial numbers from there.

It's illegal to smoke whilst driving in Italy now.

Indeed. Down there, all driving is done with the horn in any case.
