Time slows down when it’s a Friday afternoon
As the sun crawls round if it’s not hidden by the gloom.
Out of Outlook, Into Excel, lacking motivation
Eyes locked on the clock as focus falls little bit short
Images of pubs and pints, they gnaw at concentration
Draining all enthusiasm, touching every thought.

Time slows down when it’s a Friday afternoon
As the sun crawls round if it’s not hidden by the gloom.

I just stood up at my desk to announce to my workforce that I was going to sack it off for the weekend, and that they should hang on until 5 before doing the same, felt guilty, and sat down again.

For fúck's sake.

It's half five here and I'm trying to find interesting things to say about watches.
On the plus side, the fridge is full of beers and I'm on my second already

Couldn't you slip out, saying you have some important boss man business to attend to and just not come back?

I mean, you'd have to hide so that they couldn't just see you in your house, scratching your nuts as they leave, I suppose, but still.

I'm having to write about a design concept entitled 'Electric Blue' by Finns without making humorous reference to the fact that that was the name of a well-known porno flick when I were a lad.

I'd still feel guilty. And if I did that, they'd still be here at 5:30, the poor bastárds.

meant for B's post :roll eyes: I'm having to resist writing about one watch which the company proudly boasts can work as a standalone stop watch when you remove the strap without referencing "one off the wrist"

I've just finished reworking a customer churn model which will yield twice the information in about a tenth of the time and with decreased margin for error. If I carry on like this I will automate myself out of a job. :-|

Now I have to migrate a new batch of customers from the website into the back office system.

You may enjoy this having before regaled me with how taken you were with the ability to purchase fried chicken with your motor fuel.

€40 euro petrol, a chicken madras with tarka daal and roti please.

Also must be tempting to use the phrase 'strap on', I suspect? :-(

He is presumably a serious businessman, as opposed to a bloke in a shiny suit stood in a petrol station eating a curry.

Paddy on the left just wants a ham sandwich.

Just to put the tin lid on the week, I've just realised I've ordered Euros for a foreign trip next week...only to remember just now that Denmark isn't in the Eurozone. :-(

I'm supposed to go to Germany next week but I simply can't be ársed, so I haven't booked a flight. This won't end well.

I expect you'll have cause to use the euros before long, anyway.

Fear not, it is not all fancy ideas and foreign muck. My local Texaco garage has a Supermacs franchise tucked away in the corner. Full range of chicken products on sale from burgers to pieces to burgers again.

I have been rather busy today and yesterday. This researching gig is cool.
Good busy. I am glad this project I have started from scratch as I have full control over it. I have received a ridicules amount of emails since lunch time. They have been moved aside and will be looked at on Monday my eyes have gone square.

I never tried this Supermacs but I would like to one day.

What would you say it's most similar too. McDonalds, Burger King, Wimpy?, Other.

I'll always give it a try.
Though sometimes I am underwhelmed by what are supposed to be better quality stuff.

Byron not for me, GBK again not for me, Five Guys I think I liked it but I'm not sure, Fatburger alright, Carls Junior just like Burger king really.

Muck sometimes works out best.

*******s to fancy kebabs too

Thanks, reg. These snobby spastics wouldn't recognise a decent effort until it's signed off by the great and the good. Which, of course, now it has.
