I haven't eaten such proletarian fare in a long time. I'm rather looking forward to it.
It will, of course, be presented ironically.

You have to stick the sossies in so they're sticking out of the mash. Like in the comics.
The trouble is that sausages are never as nice as you think they're going to be.

I've got some from Dennis but, you know, they're still just sausages really.

Yes. As I've got older, I've come to realise that there is only so much joy to be squeezed from a sausage. As a child, they were impossibly wonderful things. 'What's for dinner?' 'Sausage, chips and peas!' Huzzah! Now, the prospect of sausage has no such effect. I just think: oh...sausages. :-(

Hold on, what if I defenestrated the mash and had chips AND AN EGG!

Well the egg would make the whole thing different. Double egg and you have a feast. Chips in the yolk?

You can get them in a cook from frozen variety.
rancid, they are.

Few things as fine in this world as a good chip butty. Lash in a fried egg and sure you have a supper fit for any man.
Cup of tea with two sugars on the side.

I think they have tampered with sausages and bacon.
The wons you get in the supermarket are pretty tasteless. Bacon pumped full of water and sausages that look grey.
Every now and again you'll see some fancy sausages for sale. They always let me down.

I'd still take a sausage sandwich (with ketchup) over a bacon sandwich

I can't eat properly due to my messed up teeth. I can't bite as my fake tooth is weak and with my new gap it's all quite a challenge :-(
 they should do it all day like in the US.
I liked the Big Breakfast but they got rid of it.

I haven't had a McDonald's Big Breakfast in over twenty years. The egg was rubbery and foul, I seem to recall.
