It was her muting me that staggered me. I'd heard this happens on twitter with great regularity when people have their opinions challenged in a cordial way, but never experienced it myself.

Have you seen that Twitter is now essentially dishing out punishment beatings to those who dissent from political orthodoxy by making their tweets only visible to followers for 24 hour periods? In other words rather than address the safe space/echo chamber culture that has brought them all these consequences they don't like, the platform itself is now doubling down on it.
