It's going to be a extremely difficult task for us to beat Bayern over 2 legs.

Plus if it goes to extra time in the 2nd leg they get even longer to score away goals which I absolutely hate that rule.

It seems unfair after 2 x 90 minute periods that one team should have an advantage for 30 mins.

We're going to win the whole thing, SW. And instead of going out on a high Wenger will sign an extension and be called a **** for the next two years.

If we win the CL Wenger can stay forever imo and finish 4th every single season thereafter. :cloud9:

 Lose by enough goals that we're definitely out, but not by so many that we can't get enough goals back in the second leg to get agonisingly close. That's tradition.

It's like a short version of our title push each season.

I will throw this out there.

Walcott keeps his place in the team? After his latest anonymous performance on Saturday?

His ineffectiveness was magnificent.

unless he comes on a sub, of course...

I still think playing the home leg 1st is or should provide a slightly bigger advantage.....

A home tie only provides an advantage of any sort when you concede no goals. I am not convinced it being first or second really makes a difference.

Please can we not capitulate and give ourselves a chance in the second leg. 1-1 or even a 2-1 loss would be fine

Setting your sights high there Norn.

Purely for clarification a 1-1 draw does not constitute avoiding capitulation, it would in fact be a fúcking tremendous outcome. Less so when Bayern score after 7 minutes in the return leg.

Your first point is exactly it however, when you concede that home goal(s) is crucial. 0-0 into extra time or 35th minute in the 1st leg.
