It may surprise you to learn that I was in regular contact with the dear chap off board and, given the tone of some of his latter missives, have grave misgivings about what may have befallen him :-(

In short, immediately prior to his disappearance he seemed depressed.

In fairness, he *was* a proper ****; he cost me outright victory in the AWIMB Awards' Poster of the Year category, some years back.
