Wasn't this the same issue that caused the Indian mutiny?

I think the Bank of England should rethink this whole matter before our wives and sisters are raped and murdered, and not necessarily in that order.

It was indeed. However, I think upsetting a bunch heavily armed sepoys would have been more problematic than distressing a bunch of whiny vegans. Mind you, imagine the sh1tstorm if it turned out they contained pig fat. :yikes:
