Ah, Pat.

Ghost Riders in the Sky. Do you know it? And if so do you have a favourite version?

I like Johnny Cash's won, I like his style. Like Big Iron I love that song but I like Mike Ness's from Social distortions version. His solo albums are ace they are like heavy country.

Cash's is solid version in the original style. Of that ilk I love the Vaughn Monroe. The chorus is nice 'n spooky with the backing vocals.

Of the different genre types, Debbie Harry's has really got something imo and gets a dance beat that works (unlike the Shadows awful disco version) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNPNUUGmxn0

And this heavy metal version :hehe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fjqxnz-EUCs with a cheeky splash of Peer Gynt

Have you got a youtube link to the Mike Ness? All I could find was a toilet version.

Nice, for that Latin 'flava', but loses a bit of the atmosphere with all that frenetic excitement imo.

Or is he a West Ham fan?

It's an old country song about cowboys.

 I like his vocal style. Very sustainy and sits in his guitar sound.

 seen social distortion live a few times and they put on a good show. Though you get a lot of blokes with gelled back hair and turned up jeans in the crowd and women dressed up in old fashioned way.
