On what basis would we have appealed? Xhaka committed a professional foul, brought a player down from behind with no intention of playing the ball on what might have developed into a dangerous attack.

Isn't a professional foul preventing a clear
Goal scoring opportunity?

And why was the ref punished of it was the right decision?

Was the ref specifically punished for that game? Too late to appeal now though, two games down the ban. Hope Wenger plays Xhaka in Bulgaria. Really needs to husband resources there to ensure we beat the scum.

Who said the ref was punished - he simply didn't have a game - there are 18 referees and he did the
Spurs Liverpool game on Tuesday

You're assuming
A) he was punished
B) if he was, it was because of that decision
