Did you see that Lineker's weighed in, saying that this reaction to 'vulnerable young men' makes him despair of his country and anyone who points out these blokes are clearly in their 20s and over is a racist?

Clearly someone thinks that the way to keep his cushy beeb number is to toe the party line.

Two things I don't understand about this issue:

1. Why are these children considered to be 'at risk' and in need of rescue when they are currently in France?
2. If, as has been posited, many of these 'children' are trying ot reach the UK to be with their parents who have right of abode in UK, why haven't these parents popped over to France to collect their children?
3. What happens in the brain of a virtue-signalling SJW to cause him to look at that picture and see a child?

That's 3 things, actually.

Lineker soiling his knickers was quite amusing.

1/ They are clearly the ones who force their way to the front of queue and who the people running the camps want out of there pronto.
2/ Because they don't actually have any relatives over here and it's all bullshít.
3/ These people are able to convince themselves a hairy-arsed man in a frock is a woman, so convincing themselves a 28 year-old criminal is a vulnerable child presents no difficulty whatsoever.

It's like there's some sort of mass hypnosis at work; pointing out that these children aren't children makes one a racist. It's utterly bizarre.

It's hard to escape the conclusion that the world has *actually* gone fùcking insane. Surely a society in which the statement of the obvious is cause for the speaker to be condemned and demonised is pretty much the basic stuff of dystopian fiction?

It's just the left doubling down. They know most of what they say is totally mental, but they worry that if they give an inch their over arching belief system will come crashing down and they'll lose the culture war.

It's exactly what we're seeing with the resistance against efforts to reform Islam. Even moderate muslims continue to tacitly support Sharia, not because they believe it is right to do so, but because there is an existential fear among them that if they give an inch, the rest will follow and their religion will die.

But the cultural left basically dominates the whole of society now. Arts, entertainment, the law, police, medicine, politics, media - all pretty much have to kowtow to an absurd and fictional agenda. Even that bogeyman of the left The Daily Mail refers to transgender people by their chosen pronouns these days. Basically, that's a bloody big edifice to bring crashing down.

The laugh is when those on the cultural left wring their hands about 'post-truth' politics, having been pushing a post-truth agenda that ignores or shuts down the truth for decades.
Say there are gangs of Pakistani men raping white girls all over the country? It's true but you're a racist.
Say that putting a man in a dress - or even cutting his dick off - doesn't make him a woman? It's true but you're a transphobe
Say that black people make up a disproportionate percentage of the prison population because they commit a disproportionate amount of crime? True, but you're a racist.
Say that what is obviously not a child is not a child? It's true, but you're a racist.

These people created post-truth politics. Slowly, deliberately and with their eyes wide open, they have created a society in which the utterance of truth is a hate crime and where (some people's) feelings matter more than facts.

They actually use the phrase 'hate crime' - they're not even trying to hide their Orwellian agenda, ffs!

mostly rejected nowadays, I guess. Namely, Italians, Americans, Greeks, darkies or whoever coming over here and interfering with our women. Trouble is though, and always has been, that the dollies actually love a bit of it. Presumably that's why it's mainly blokes doing the complaining

Yes, they dominate, but there is significant push-back currently taking place, demonstrated most starkly, of course, by the rise of Trump in the US and in a more complex way Brexit over here. Then there's the lower profile stuff like movements popping up on university campuses rejecting the enforcement of "consent classes" and other politically correct agendas.

As I say, if they give an inch - even by making the tiniest concession such as admitting that letting people decide which changing room to use, depending on how they identify, is a ****ing stupid idea - then there is a real risk that the whole thing comes crashing down.

Look how panicked and tied up in knots they got when the whole Rachel Dolezal episode took place. But they stood firm, because there is too much for them to lose.

It's getting ridiculous. "Child".

I believe children should be with their parents. So if their parents are here because they have abandoned their children they should first of all be jailed for doing so and deported to wherever their child is when their sentence is up.

But the entire establishment is now treating this agenda as dogma. Kids are emerging from school with their heads full of this crap. My 17 year-old daughter, for instance, reacts with horror when I point out the basic nonsensicality of transgenderism and won't hear any arguments to the contrary because it's simply verboten to think like that. Now sure, as she gets older, she'll question things more, but this crap runs deep.
Yes, there is a push-back happening, but it's hard not to feel that these are just the first few shots being fired in the culture wars. There's a long way to go yet.

At least your kid has a chance. Imagine how entrenched this **** is gonna be by the time mine enter formal education? It genuinely petrifies me.

i do think there's a tipping point though and the puppet masters pushing these agendas do have to be a touch careful. With regard to Islamism in particular, any concerted attempts to push through any kind of blasphemy law in the uk, for example, would turn the weight of public opinion against the "progressives" Then of course there's the possibility that terrorist attacks become so common place that the voices demanding overt profiling/closed borders, etc, win out.

Jailing people costs money too though. Not to mention deporting them.

Interestingly, the papers here in the UAE seem to have moved to the right of the English media on the Islamism issue. Few years back it was all the fault of Israel, America and western bigots who wanted to blame the actions of a few on Islam in general. Reading The Gulf News each day, there now seems to be an acceptance that legislation is required in order to limit the growth of Islamic terrorism, the finger is no longer pointed at the West nearly as much and ISIS is only ever referred to as 'Daesh' in the papers here.

If only the British media was as open minded.

I wouldn't overly worry about such things WES
In 34 short years they reckon the world's population will exceed 10 billion. In your lifetime it will probably hit 12 billion,so that's an extra 4 billion people that need fed and housed.I have suggested Canada as a home for them as there are fúck all people there.
