That would depend on the mrs, I think. Mine has dreadful taste so she always insists on The Dorchester, Claridge's or the Savoy, which always bring, to my mind, murderous, tinpot African life-presidents and dictators visiting London to "see their dentist"*.

Four Seasons, Langham, Egerton House.

*Blow all the foreign aid money on cosmetics, white goods, lingerie and big, black Mercedes'.

The Strand Palace if on a tight budget.

The Beaumont if not.

Why not stay in someone else's luxury house or apartment? Much more charm and character than a faceleess hotel, plus you get full meet-and-greet service, housekeeping, concierge and an iPad loaded with tips and info about the local area.

I wish *******s like that would just keep quiet about it and simply charge me for any damage or inconvenience caused. I do not feed my dogs any old ****, no matter how woof-alicious it may be.

Apartments are often better than hotels these days. If you must stay in a hotel try and go at the weekend when they are cheaper.

First question: Have you ever complained about your job or employers on the internet?
