would it annoy you if every time you had the ball the crowd shout 'shooooooooot'?

Certainly not. That's what all the money is for.

I was getting so annoyed at that during the Chelsea game. Totally counter-productive :-( Almost as annoying as Olé-ing.

He should turn around and blast it into his own net.

:hehe: Would gross indecency be a yellow or red card offence? :rubchin:

Worth it for just a yellow imo.

I would go with a t-shirt worn under the shirt saying 'HOW'S ABOUT THAT THEN?' for the gesture.

Who was that bloke who kept a dummy in his undies that he would put in his mouth when he scored? That was rank. :-(

It would show a remarkable grasp of UK popular culture, to be fair.

However, I fear some namby-pamby types may feel it's still too early for Jimmy Savile-themed goal celebrations. Maybe in a few year's time.

God, yes! I'd tried to block from my mind the fact it was one of our own. :-(

'Get it out while you can, Joel!'

You never know there might be some eastern bloc country where Savile was some kind of legend.
Like Benny Hill. I can't remember exactly where it was but there was some place where they loved him. Even perhaps a statue was built? Or I might be thinking of someone else.

It was Norman Wisdom

I think you mean Norman Wisdom and Albania. I don't think anyone's likely to put up a statue of Jim in his 'How's about that then?' pose with the legend underneath:

'Sir Jimmy James Savile, 1926-2011 - Him fùck much little girls'

Well Fulham had Michael Jackson outside.

George Formby was big in the Soviet Bloc due to them mishearing his lyric as 'I'm Lenin on a lamppost on the corner of the street...'?

Yeah, I remember him. You could always be guaranteed to get a rise out of him about Jackson. I once said it was like saying you were a fan of Gary Glitter and he went ballistic. :hehe:

See, that's the edge you get when you hire English players. They're in touch with popular culture
