I agree. It was probably worth it though, with the international break next and the disruption that can bring.

We could easily have lost that game 0-1 - as it was, even at only half pace, our groove is good enough at the moment to totally dominate the ball. A change of personnel might have diminished that control disastrously.

Yes. The Basel game should have been the one to start Gibbs, Elneny and Perez (if he was available) and keep Santi on the bench for as long as possible.

Still maintain that starting some of your top attackers on the bench isn't going to lose you the game up north. But their coming on fresh with half an hour to spare at 0-0 might win it for you.
