"It’s positive that these players get minutes at other clubs. It is dynamic which has always provided good results for players that carry the Barca DNA in their blood."

Tapping up, eh?

Good to see that the treacherous ****s have learned from their recently imposed transfer embargo for equally shifty goings on.

During which they registered 77 players...

At the bridge, yes. The Oosterbeek perimeter fought on for another few days before withdrawing across the Rhine.

Does Arnhem/Market Garden have a particular interest to you for some reason, Charles?

He's actually the lost Kray Brother, fallen through time.

Yes, very much so. It was imortant to my father and he took me there several times; I've subsequently visited almost every year, I suppose. A sort of pilgrimage.

V arranged a trip over the weekend of the 2014 70th anniversary events and even got us into the Oosterbeek cemetary ceremony. An amazing experience.

Have you seen that Ian Wright wants Cesc's banner taking down from the Ken Friar Bridge at the Emirates and ritually burnt before the game on Saturday, along with a Barcelona kit and Cesc's parents*

*I may have made the latter bit up

My word, how I blubbed. At the end, after the singing of God Save The Queen and the Wilhelmus, all was silent except for my blubbing, and then came the roar as a Spitfire screamed over at 300 kts and 50 feet, at which point I just about dessicated myself.

Ian Wright is entitled to his opinions, la. That doesn't necessarily make them wright.

Were you not worried that all these grizzled, stoic veterans might have been looking askance at your display of emotional incontinence?

No, because the event wasn't about my ego.

Actually there were remarkably few dry eyes in the place.

Eh, why is there a Fabregas banner in the first place?

Good point. Ultimately a rather minor player in the context of our club's glorious history. Won us little or nothing.

Well indeed, a very good player but in the context of the 100+ years of the club he is quite irrelevant.

A player who in time will be ultimately remembered for having a very questionable taste in leather hooded items of clothing and for reasons only he can ever explain deciding to pass directly to a Barcelona player on the edge of our box while we were defending frantically at Camp Nou. A piece of play that arguably cost us the Champions League that year.
