To be redeveloped as luxury flats, with a design more faithful to the Nash original than the post-blitz rebuild, according to the developers, and not faithful to the original according to local opposition. Except it's not opposition any more, obviously.
I shall miss it during the meantime. The only news source I could access mentioning a time frame to redevop was the five years quoted by the Daily Mail, so that cannot be true. Especially as you can build a Shard in three and a half years.
In better news, the appalling old Post Office concrete thundercloud at the top of Drury Lane is finally coming down. Huzzah!

Also the art-moderne Commonwealth House next to it is also getting refurbed. Dunno how that will work out but I liked the original. (This pic doesn't do it justice)
