Is the Daily Mail subject to the US court system, though? I find this odd.

Wife, surely and quite how the rather attractive former model and wife of the pug-faced, ridiculously coiffured billionaire is going to convince any jury that she has never slept with a man for money, I can't say *

*yes, yes I know our libel laws mean the burden of proof is on the defendant not the one bringing the case

If the website is available in the US then surely it must be

Yes, but what are they going to do if they rule against the Mail and Dacre tells them to fúck off? They can't wander down Fleet St and arrest him, can they?

I don't actually know - my media law qualification is from a time before the internet and wicked web it weaves when it comes to jurisdiction on such matters. Anyway, unless there is a Fleet Street on the Cayman Islands or whichever tax haven the ****e-filled hate monger hides out on, I doubt that would work anyway

There's nothing wrong with a tax haven, la. I'd have thought a slumlord like yourself would be all in favour of such tax-efficient arrangements.

Not sure why you'd sue for libel over there rather than here, tbh

True - Brendan, Stephen and Dave never prepared us for such complicated times though

I don't think anyone would ever claim Germany was a tax haven. Socialist *******s

When will you be requiring a new tenant btw?

True. Although my most recent libel refresher basically said you can get sued anywhere for anything. Although things are less hairy now since the 2013 defamation act - except for the fact that the Northern Irish didn't sign up to it and the Irish follow Northern Irish law on this.

She moves out middle of October - thinking of leaving it a few weeks so I can get back and fix a few things * But the sooner someone in the better

*get someone in to fix a few things
