This loan nonsense is getting a bit out of hand. City have sent Hart, Nasri,Bony and Mangala out on loan. About a £100m worth of players.

Arsenal aren't doing too badly with Szczesny,Campbell, Chambers and Wilshere either.

Remember when loan deals were for teenagers to go to Huddersfield or Peterborough for a half a season?

I think it's because of the inflated market for PL clubs buying. Squard Player X will net you £Ym if you sell him, but to buy him back, or an equivalent player, will cost you £(Y*2)m. (Unless it's David Louise, of course). So basically you have to hang on to your assets, even if you don't have a use for them at the moment because they'll cost twice as much to replace.
