bid for Mustafi since the last one was rejected. Looks like we might be going after this Mathieu bloke from Barca instead, because Mustafi is too expensive.

Why is Arsene so tight? Imagine going out on the beers with him. He'd certainly pop for a crap every time it was his round.

Guess I was right about us not signing anyone else...

Something is seriously wrong if we can't sign him.

Either...

The Club is lying about the Finances and they don't want to spend
Wenger in true socialist fashion has too much control, gone senile and prefers to pay 2002 fees for players

Or both and they're quite happy to keeping it going.....perfect combination.

The club have a manager who gets them into the top 4 without spending a dime and a manger whose happy to get £8m a year to tow the party line...

Sack the lot of them IMO...

I think it is most likely that the stadium is proving a crippling financial commitment. However, to admit that to the fans would be suicidal, especially with the influx of TV monies.

Most likely?

More informed sources than you have reported in the past that the annual payments on the stadium amount to just 19m per annum, which although a ****ing shed load of money is not relatively speaking that much.

If we are not spending money it is simply because we have chosen not to.

Good thing you didn't study to become an accountant.

so are our reports and accounts fiddled so that we don't actually have money in the bank?? Have interest payments magically gone up even though our revenue has shot up?

Or perhaps AW is just tight and refuses to spend any oney even though it is obvious we are short

This is a very interesting article I found, all about transfer fees

http://thesetpieces.com/features/transfer-window-myth-busting/

Specifically, it challenges the myth about recouping transfer fees from shirt sales

I make you spot on there, sw. The only question is, is Wenger not spending or the owner/board only allowing a certain amount to be spent? Not something that we should really find out.

There is a third option, that we can't spend it. It is feasible....
