However, I have no idea how to erect such a beast and am certain to make a balls of such a task.

Can on epurchase a modern style tent which is self-erecting? Inflatable, perhaps?

First things first: why do you want a tent?

Second: You just go to thon Cotswold place in the Nugent, explain your needs to one of the beardy staff and then allow him to part you from a sizeable chunk of money.

I want to sleep in our field one night.

If I tell a bloke at Cotswold that I don't know how to put up a tent he will judge me.

Here's what you do. Wrap your hands in bandages, walk in there and say you need the most easily-assembled tent he has as you recently burned your hands badly rescuing a child from a burning building but you don't want to miss out on Reading. He will then admire you, not rip you off and possibly give you a discount.

Why do you want to sleep in your field?
