When the history of Arsenal FC is recorded historians will point to yesterday as the day on which Arsene Wenger's reign began its final death throes.

Of course, we could go on to win the league.

The title is still in our hands, Sir C :cloud9:

I wish. These were three points lost in the battle to qualify for CL.

If Leicester do a job on us this weekend we'll fighting just to stay afloat. Come on, you saw the game yesterday. If we had any stuffing it would have been knocked out of us.

He has 1 year left on contract the death throes started years ago. its just the AKB's that have dragged it out for so long . the club is a joke and the manager is acting like Captain Mainwaring

We finished second last season. Saved a bundle of money on transfers. Two or three big players in the summer, some of it paid with the money we saved last season, and we could have taken it this year. The competition isn't that great.

Instead August takes us by surprise as usual and there we are with an injury crisis and a fitness crisis the first week of the season.

Yesterday I was living la vie douce in France, old chap.

Happier times.

we got lucky with second last year,, any idiot could have worked out that with the new TV money coming to the league that transfer fees would go very high very quickly . last year was the time to get in players , and we failed again. the team is under prepared and full of players that will never do anything . It is also worth noting that by doing business this late if at all have put an extra 10 to 15 pc on the fee vs where the pound is against the euro than if we had done deals at the end of the season

We got lucky? So? We got unlucky quite a few times before. We could and maybe should have won it. But probably a top notch striker and centre-half alone might have made the difference.

Too late now and there will now be a panic buy, costing more than it would have earlier for the reasons you point out and because the transfer window approaches its end.
