:rolleyes: Cue umpteen thick **** pundits complaining about 'petty' refs 'ruining the spectacle'. The self-same pundits who are also happy to bemoan the standards of player behaviour when it suits them ('disgraceful!', etc). After that, we will see the rules gradually undermined and rowed back on until we're back to swear one (see what I did there?).

Football officialdom hasn't got the spine to enforce this. I wish it did.

It will never happen in practice.

Not sure why only the captains are allowed to approach the referee with the ref able to summon other players at a time of his choosing.

Isn't foul and abusive language already a sending off offence?
