It's punishing innocent police for the bad actions of extremely bad cops. The shooting last night was completely opposite of the goals and motives of BLM which is to peacefully protest to get the police to chill the f out and not treat them all as potential criminals worth shooting. Yesterday's events threaten to deepen the divide. Bad scenes.
I do appreciate that the police reacted by shepherding the BLM protesters to safety - that's what gives me hope. I hope the BLM protesters attend the police funerals which would be classy and very productive.

Maybe but it seems to be as being a one off act of vengeance to numerous acts of racist cops killing African Americans.
