I wouldn't mind if they said they are going to postpone the league for one season.

Still it could be worse. We could be Tottenham and have our main striker apparently having picked up a spot of Motor Neurone Disease while with England.

:hehe: Yes, but it's not like he's got any choice. Did you hear him getting heckled by his own side in the Commons? :hehe:

We've got the very real prospect of a Labour Leader losing a No Confidence vote by a landslide and still winning the leadership election. It's genuinely ****ing bizarre.

There's talk of the 'Blairite' wing (that's most of them, isn't it?) ****ing off and joining the LibDems :hehe:

Maybe they should. The Lib Dems have, in an Orwellian twist, decided to reverse the meaning of the word 'Democrat' by basing their whole campaign on the next election on reversing the referendum result. To have the Blairites in such a party would, to me, be entirely fitting.

Then Labour should rebuild itself as a party who listens to a Euro-sceptic working class to provide voters with a less parochial alternative to UKIP.

All that you say makes sense, yet ignores the elephant in the room. No, not Diane, but her erstwhile paramour. There's no rebuilding the Labour party while he's doing the full Colonel Kurtz.

There's just the stumbling block that to stand in a leadership election he needs to be backed by 46 MPs. Only 40 supported him today

The way McDonnell was speaking yesterday they're quite prepared to tear up the rule book.

Particularly enjoyed his new definition of "a handful" ie over 80%. Truly Soviet.
