Hollande literally cannot back down (what with having more than 10% unemployment and everything), while the CGT are basically hardline communists for whom the idea of having labour laws that actually make it worthwhile employing someone is complete anathema. This is the third three-day week in a row the Eurotrash've enjoyed (religious reasons apparently). For the first one, I packed the wife and myself off to Cannes, leaving our visiting parents in charge. Damn silly idea, of course, as the famous film festival was just gearing up down there.

Fair enough. Then we return and the kids announce the following week also includes a religious skive. Ha! They think they're sly, but then, so am I! 24-hour turnaround and Adios! We're off to America.
