Let's hope he's got the minerals for it.

Good ness me, he's a rather attractive man, isn't he?

What is it that he does, exactly?

He keeps the fans happy for a few hours at least before they demand another signing.

I think he has quite a high percentage success rate of kicking a football from point A to point B :trophy:

You laugh, but these days I hardly know. It appears that each player now has a specific task for which he is suited, and that is the only thing he can do. In my day we were just footballers.

He appears to be the Albanian StevieG :-(

Did you see that thing on BBC4 last night about the fall of Saigon? Excellent. Some great footage from the time.

My thoughts exactly. If he's going to play like that, aren't we going to need some speedy chap up front running onto his 40 yarders?

I've seen it before, but yes it is excellent. The US Ambassador comes out of it well.

Chamakh's won was worrying. Most of the clips where where he nearly scored.
Except for one game where he clearly seemed to get the better of Kos 3 times

Quite a lot of that one is just him doing reasonably competent, but ultimately fruitless things. And other bits of it are him failing to score.

He'll fit right in. :-)

According to my calculations. At Basel Elneny who came on a trial basis then replaced Granit who left that summer.
Now we have both of em :sherlock:

they are going to ping pong the ball around the pitch for 90 mins :cloud9: which is fine as long have taken the lead.

Proper midfielders :cloud9:

He'll be a really, really good replacement for both Arteta and Flamini imo. He's a very good passer of the ball, short and long, and will add the calming, controlling influence that we missed when legohair got injured. Also, he's very fond of a card so he'll replace Flamini nicely too.

Though I'm not sure Flamini will actually be off, rather he'll just be ushered into the role of being Mesut's fluffer.

Hold on just a wee second, he is not “just” a midfielder.

He is a left footed midfielder, elegant and cultured and all the other footballing clichés which automatically flow in such scenarios.

Brady, Petit, Edu, Redondo.

Life rarely gets better than this.

Shows what you know about the game, he's the right sort of player and one we've needed for a while. We needed a couple of ents to offset our midfield hobbits

"They wouldnt like you so you wont" was the answer.

Fair enough really

I have been treated well with my new Italian family.
They treat me as part of it. Which I am now technically. Very hospitable, last time I was over they even put the Arsenal game on the tv when they had a big family dinner.

:hehe: Yup. That succession of long passes goes on for about three minutes. Then he starts doing other scintillating stuff like... collecting the ball from his back four.

That said, I've often wondered what a Gilberto show reel would look like. Basically, just him not giving the ball away set to some inspirational music.

Johann must be spinning in his grave. It's as if Henry Ford has redesigned football for maximum productivity.

On the other hand .. "Swiss national manager Ottmar Hitzfeld once dubbed him the "well-hung Schweinsteiger". Which should keep the dressing room happy.

Yes, but none of this addresses the crucial, pertinent fact that Chaka Khan actually had enormous bangers. If I recall correctly.*

*Talking of lesbians and women and all that sort of thing.

I think Steroid Jack will be a nice addition. I watched the Keown/Van Nistleroy game again lately and we were such fighters then. Hope he brings some of that back.
