The reason I ask is that I've just had a comment moderated on the Guardian website where I responded to some chap who listed a bunch of stars who had, as he put it, made their names more 'white' and included a number of Jews on there, including Woody Allen. I asked 'Are Jews not white, then? Woody Allen's ginger, ffs! You don't get much more white than that."

This message was almost instantly deleted for reasons best known to The Guardian, but I'm still left with the question of whether Jews are white or not.

Your Ashkenazi Stetl jew is usually but your Sephardi or Mizrahi would be less white and that's before we get onto the Etheopian lads imo

I think it's different with Jews. They don't encourage conversion and famously make the process really hard. They say that more people pass SAS selection than successfully convert to judaism.

I do feel strongly. The suffering of converts to judaism is one of the great hidden tragedies of our time. They should be entitled to jew convert only public toilets and therapy on the NHS.
