It's Vegas in December. everything is paid and get to fly business.
but long way to go for 2 days which is putting me off.
As much as I love Vegas and all it's even in my name.

Depends who the flight is with. If it's BA or Virgin and you get a lie-flat bed, fill your boots. The shortness of the trip hardly matters if you can get a decent sleep each way. If it's (God help us) a US carrier, you should do something more enjoyable, like take a blowtorch to your jap's eye.

I think they are the only 2 that fly direct. (Or were)
my last trip to LA was with Delta. Going there the plane was reasonable. coming back it was terrible.
I think they try to over compensate with constant offering of food and drink.
