It was seeing GMF as a talking head there (titled as the author of Black Ajax) that made me buy the book and it's as good as any Flashman imo. Well, almost.)
One of the other talking heads was David Dabydean, that West Indian academic.
If you like boxing or history or the late Georgians, you'd love this programme.
Oh, and GMF's war memoir, Quatered Safe Out Here is the best such memoir I've ever read.
But watch Bare Knuckle Boxer imo. It's tops.
