As I understand it, Arsene Wenger should be sacked for utter incompetence, both tactically and in assembling such a lightweight squard. We are having a truly dreadful season.

Over at Tottenham, on the other hand, they are having a fantastic season under Pocchetino, who is an undeniable genius and will soon be in demand by the biggest clubs on earth.

The difference between these positions is 3 points.

we are doing better than barnet though if we are now only comparing local clubs for our outlay on the managers 8mio a year and the clubs exorbitant prices

The problem isn't now that Wenger is a tightwad, but that he is incompetent

Leicester so effective. Every player knows job. Don't panic or chuck leads. Plenty of fight. Can Arsenal hire Ranieri to mentor Wenger?

Arsenal's lack of leadership - in Boardroom & in team - and poor governance that sees no challenge to Wenger really coming home to roost now

its about getting it right , by spending the right amount , sometimes you get a bargain and thats great and sometimes you have to pay the going rate , hes just not flexible on this and to be fair to him if he changed now it would make people more frustrated :banghead:

youre not going to change it whatever happens and i and others on here that have wanted him gone for some time wont either .

far better than wenger in after watford and wenger out after west ham and sadly we have a lot of fickle people in middle ground like this and its probably the reason we have dragged on like this for so long

oh and i love the way you all hunt in packs together

Before that? Something about not enough English players in the squard

subsidise cheaper tickets and beer and whatnot for a section of their home support, I think it means.

before even a myopic ostrich such as you will admit there is a collective behavioral pattern at the club; that of choking under pressure. The title was, and should have remained, in the bag this season.

I speak to fans on the flight over from Norway, who have paid 200GBP for a match ticket I paid 30 quid for

that's before you talk about the countless touts outside able to sell tickets above face value

barely worth the time and effort it took to win it.

Brentwood

So the fact that we sell out practically every game, and people are so desperate to get in the ground that they'll pay many times the face value, means that our tickets are actually being subsidised

The only way of gauging if something is expensive or not is by letting the market decide the price

hundreds of sterlings to watch a match is fanatical market fetishism taken to ridiculous extremes.

You presumably would geniunely prefer to have our ground full of tourists every game. In every single seat, and banish regular fans forever.

in the Prem and they've got a decent manager, players and are playing good football. Things are looking up for them basically. Arsenal have just stumbled along when this title was really theirs for the taking imo.

than by looking at how many we sell at the current prices (100%) and how much they are sold for on the free market. Factor in that we are still selling those tickets despite having an unpopular manager an unsuccesful team for 10 + years (by the standards of the majority)

10 quid a ticket might be reasonable for you, but to someone's kid brother on 50p pocket money a week, it's out of reach. So sho should say what is cheap and what is expensive?

The club are clearly already subsidising tickets to ensure that long term fans can continue to go. I don't see why a fresh generation of fans shouldn't be able to buy tickets if they can afford them, regardless of whether they travel in from Islington, Essex, Manchester or Scandinavia

Fans do not switch product like they might do with their choice of butter.

I'm not asking for ten pound tickets, and the kid with 50p pocket money isn't going to expect to get anything for that. Saying that our tickets are 'too cheap' because some people will pay silly amounts is not the sort of message we should be sending Mr Kroenke, if you don't mind.
