Anybody transferred old VHS tapes to a computer?

Or is it easier to copy it to DVD then rip the DVD to the computer?

What's the best way? I don't want to sent the tapes off to someone else to do.

I found them in a box in the attic, unaware I still had them.

It would appear I have dutifully through many house and indeed country moves, some hasty under cover of darkness, always managed to make sure my 1989 and other VHS tapes were saved.

I proceeded to the wee place that does Nasi Goreng and again was thwarted by Friday lunchtime people. Ended up in Burger King for a whopper with cheese which was good though ultimately a let-down based on my original plans.

I find that taking lunch break at 1200 beats the rush, and not eating anything till then makes it very welcome.

so hence used 3 or 4 times a year...say how lovely it is, must use more..then 20 mins taking it apart n cleaning it..and leave for 3 months
