Dave Whelan has been accused of antisemitism after the Wigan Athletic owner told the Guardian he believes “Jewish people chase money more than everybody else”.

trauma to the neck for several days after the crash.

I had a personal injury lawyer calling me (unsolicited) within 20 minutes of reporting the accident and I said to him at the time I had no pain.

no *actual* physical evidence of it, but he definitely is."

I'm very disappointed in you, m. You're now part of the 'something for nothing' victim culture and are thus a large part of what's wrong with this country.

No wonder your son wants nothing to do with you. :shakehead:

which they are trying to retrieve at my request (odd behaviour for someone on the make). I'm willing to put a very large amount of money on him having hit me at over 25mph (just to err on the side of conservativism)

Berni
04-07-2016, 11:40 AM
Be honest. He's hit you from behind, which means it's his fault, no-questions-asked and now you're just looking to cash in on the fact.

*****************FREE MONEY!!!***********************

You make me sick.

you'd f**kin know it if impact was 30

Monty91
04-07-2016, 11:44 AM
almost certainly have been approaching me at something like 40mph (the often exceeded limit on that stretch of road) and the gap between him braking and impact was no more than a second.

He's actually contesting and claiming it wasn't his fault. Hence my request for CCTV.

Let's see what it shows up, eh?

Monty91
04-07-2016, 11:46 AM
that has virtually folded in on itself?

It was a very big impact. Enough to write off both our cars.

Shame.

If that means my case for compensation isn't strong enough, then that's fine.

I’d imagine I’ll end up having lost at least a couple of days work with appointments and phone calls.

And I wouldn’t rule out needing physio for my neck, but that may not be necessary. Don’t know yet.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
04-07-2016, 12:34 PM
and you had to arrange plumbers and insurance claims and all sorts, who would you expect to 'compensate' you for your time? What about if you had a cold? Who would 'copmpensate' you then?

You have chosen to freelance. Why must I pay higher insurance premiums to compensate you?

but let's see the extent to the damage to my neck, eh? And whether or not the dick who hit me backs down, because as it stands I may still be liable for damage costs to the car in front, not to mention my own premium being hiked.

Sir Charlie of Nicholas
04-07-2016, 01:13 PM
rationally.

It's a grand. A thousand pounds. It's the price of two nights in a decent hotel. It's what you spend in the supermarket every month. It's not a lot of money, and it's not worth your dignity.

K?

Monty91
04-07-2016, 01:18 PM
I stand to be several thousands of pounds out of pocket, so even a measly grand back would help.

Ashberto
04-07-2016, 01:19 PM
Will you try staying at THC bedrooms some time you're stopping over in town? I might be able to get you a 10% discount. If that's not undignified, of course.
