Isn't 'leaking' it simply theft? And don't the people concerned have a right to privacy? How would those squealing as a result of the discolsures react if the contents of their hard drives was, for example, taken by MI5 and openly published?

The tax man has powers of investigation into all of our financial affairs, you wont get very far with the "It's a private matter" defence with them.
