and that Europe needs rebuilding, not reforming. Like FIFA, really.

Given that we get back something like 8/1 in terms of the financial benefit of EU membership.

Though I'd say we're in dire need of democratic reform in this country too.

I have to say, the leave people have disappointed me in their utter lack of a vision of what being outside the EU will look like.

Every argument reverts back to soveriegnty and how some ridiculous percentage of our laws are written by Brussels, which we know to be at best mendacious.

Or for that matter a strangely neutered head of state who still has massive veto powers even though they're meant to be almost purely ceremonial.

Thing is, leaving the EU would mean we'd be ignoring our own democratic deficit even more. Which is what I suspect will happen anyway.

It doesnt really make sense to leave, especially when we have a really, really brilliant deal from the EU as is.

slippery slope to a mega-state dominated by the Germans and the French with token Luxembourgers in expensive and meaningless posts.

deficiencies.

I believe also that Brexit, especially for the right reasons, by encouraging other nations to consider their positions can ultimately lead to a different kind of integrated Europe. A better one, not dominated by autocratic elites.

Or whether leaving to build something again would make much sense, practically speaking.

In a side note, get us having a grown-up debate about yerp.
