Though I must admit to being less worried about Ooooooooospina playing than I was when Big Petr got injured.

The lad's equipped himself well, brian.

Apart from the Olympiakos howler how many mistakes has he actually made?

You know.. When he started to become a bit of a liability between the sticks last season allowing Chez to get his place back.
It sort of prompted AW into realising the bloke wasn't the real deal afterall and that he still needed a top notch keeper.

Szczesny was dropped following the Southampton away defeat.

He got the nod, largely due to Ospina's indifferent form.
Ospina was on the subs bench.
It being the Cup final and all, you'd want to put out your best 11.

By your logic, Fabianski got the nod the year before because Szesny was going through a rough patch.

How deluded can you possibly be.
Do you seriously think any manager would put out his second choice keeper for a cup final.
You don't think there would be serious repercussions if he lost it through keeper errors.
It's a final, not some meaningless quarter. There is no policy at that point.. :hehe:
