Thus Broadway Danny Rose has to play the whole match again tonight.

if I had power to do as I pleased and was never held accountable, plus that tasty salary. There's no end in sight to this monotonous repetitiveness, is there? Congratulations all the same, you must be experiencing a feeling of warm, glowing comfort all over.

I'm a fan of the man, it has to be said, but I'm not actually that sure that the situation is tenable any more. The atmosphere is poisonous and most of the fans seem to be happier for him to stay rather than go.

Naturally I'm happy he's committed to the cause but I'm not entirely sure everybody else is.

title surge, even if we don’t win it, would be enough to calm the storm. Even our thickest fans know in their heart of hearts how much worse it could be.

Indeed, from the man’s own words, it seem very likely he would have left had we not won the FA Cup two seasons ago, so it seems strange to conclude that he is given absolute impunity to fail - either by himself or the board.

I mean surely we *have* to finish above spurs for starters.

I dont think I have anywhere near the faith you do in the idea that this is a retrievable situation.

I'm sure the board are happy enough but an unlikely end of season collapse wouldn't help his cause.

Not sure finishing above Spurs is essential - certainly not if they don’t win it.

Bear in mind there will be an entire summer for fans to calm down. And we might make some sexy signings in the summer.

I think you overestimate the emotional immaturity of football fans. They are literally like toddlers, Jeff. They can be screaming one second but you plump them infront of Peppa Pig and they're suddenly as happy as a pit in ****. In this regard, their idiocy may count in Wenger's favour.

no complaints about the previous ten years, aside from perhaps the mental breakdown in that wonderful 07/08 side, which I don't think he can be entirely blamed for. I see those "failures" elsewhere - like repeating the same old mistakes over and over and over and over, sticking to the "let's never take shots outside the penalty area" mantra, the lack of tactical discipline in players and stuff that keeps repeating itself to death.
Of course, it's slightly idiotic of me to talk so prematurely with us still in with a chance of winning the League, but I honestly cannot see both teams currently ahead of us collapsing at the same time. We had more than one chance this season and by God did we blow the lot of them.

For me finishing above spurs is all that really matters between now and may.

I'm not sure if you've noticed this but summer doesnt tend to be a relaxing time as an arsenal fan. And it certainly doesnt look like this one is going to be, what with Pep building his new team at City, Hair Replacement Poster Boy doing the same at Chelsea and Man U's annual blindfold trolley dash.

breath stating that this would be the first season you will consider him to have failed, should we not win the league.

Unbelievable.

was a certain level of disquiet about the lack of outfield signings lastsummer, I think the atmosphere going into the West Ham game was overall pretty positive. It was just that losing that game put Wenger on the backfoot and made fans highly sensitive.

Bear in mind, I think if you'd have polled the majority of our fans at Christmas, they'd have tipped us to win the league. That tells you a lot about how sentiment can fluctuate so rapidly.

twisting other people's words in basic sophistic fashion as you are, would use selective criteria when reading through posts and pick out only the convenient little snippets. This tactic of yours is best applied to absolute morons and however much you would like to think me one, I most certainly am not. Sorry.

as one of Wenger's failings.

Sorry, you may very well not be a moron in many other fields, some of which are probably of far more value than football, but in the context of this specific subject, you talk like a moron.

No doubt if we dug a little deeper you'd also complain about our poor corners.

To a very finely tuned eye, these are all little tell-tale sings of a moron.

take you as some kind of higher authority on football when all you do is pick out those parts of people's posts and constantly try to use them out of context? I KNEW you'd go for the "shots outside the area" thing, but was too lazy to explain my case in a more refined manner. What I think are AW's failings (as a layman, just like you by the way, although I HAVE played pro football at an under 18s level and HAVE been "inside the game" as it were at least to a certain extent, not to mention reading a ton of literature on football history etc) is a long and boring subject. His philosophy is multi-faceted and contains a lot of aspects that I don't agree with, which I find to be stubbornly repetitive and thus bring a feeling of monotonous depression within me as a football FAN in general (i know you're not a fan, you're an aficionado probably) and supporter of Arsenal FC in particular. Pfff...

Talks a very poor football game mind you.

You just wait now until we next score a goal with a shot from outside the box, he’ll be all over your ass by 10am on the Monday morning.
