Me: My name? What’s wrong with my name?
Passport control man: The system is very sensitive. It must be your combination of names
Me: The combination? What do you mean?
Passport control man: I can’t say
Me: You can’t say? So who can tell me?
Passport control man: No-one, sorry sir.
Me: Is it because both my first and second names are common first names? Is this what you mean by “combination of names?” People have told me it makes me sound like a 1970s DJ. Am I being flagged as a nonce?
Passport control man: I’m sorry sir, I can’t say
