View Full Version : Thoughts on yesterday huge win at Everton
Magnificent peformance when pressure was on at yesterday at everton. Best peformance since man city home win in my view.
To win away against such a very good team away from home who everyone thought arsenal slip up against and with tough week behind the team showed why this team can surge back to the win the title on May 15th vs villa.
Wellbeck and the young kid Obi were both scary good and tore everton defence apart . Wellbeck been like a new signing since he come back.
I thought the defence were immense and the two central midfielders were rock solid
This was masssive massive win away from home in one of toughest games. Only now have two tough games from eight away at west ham and man city but arsenal can win all eight games. seven wins from eight still be good enough i think.
leicester might be in front for now but have had soft fixture list of late and struggled to win them 1-0. pressure all on them now . They have got tough fixture list with five of their last seven games vs top ten teams in everton, west ham, southampton, man united and chelsea away.
If arsenal win the last eight their champions in my view whatever leicester do.. i think 76 to 79 points will win the title.

Papering over the cracks. We'll be lucky to finish 6th.

This team won eight in row last season and if they do the same again, then they will be champions its as simple as that in my view
Yesterday was not pampering over the cracks. Its was huge win under pressure against a quality team on the back of very good peformance in the nou camp.
I hope if arsenal win the title on may 15th against villa at 5.00pm on sky you have changed your mind.
but their hardly looking convicing with their 1-0 wins against lower teams.
can,t keep getting away playing like that when they play likes of united, chelsea away and everton, west ham and southampton at home.
vardy not scoring for them now so totally reiant on their defence and odd lucky goal here and their.
I am worried about city then leicester still as we still got to play them. love united to beat them today.
still a important win for them but got far harder games coming up.
get tougher for them against better oppostion in april and if they lose any big players during the international friendly break then their be in trouble.

Arsenal winning 1-0 was top top team showing championship qualities rather than scrapping away.
side had won trophies before 1989. They won the league cup in 1987 and had group of players therefore knew what it took to win trophies.
Leicester have none. you also make out chelsea, united and everton not great form but their quality teams still and don,t forget chelsea beat us twice and united beat us at home.
if arsenal get to 79 points they win it. still a tough ask but its very possible.
leicester won,t win more then three from last seven in my view.
City still the main threat for now unless they fade next few games. have to go them two games left and must hopefully be more then three points clear before we go their.

right then if Leicester win their next two games we can only overtake them on goal difference (assuming we also win ours as per your predictions).
and have one of best goal scoring records and goal scorers in the league and we kept them quiet.
You can,t deny with little time billy to get ready for game it was fantastic peformance and win at a tough away game whatever their form.

80 points to stop us winning the league. that means leicester need 14 points from next seven 21 points
can,t see that that when they got to play united, chelsea, west ham, everton and southampton.
if i am wrong and they do it, then fair play to them. I have nothing agaisnt them as a club. Whoever finishes first deserves to win the league.
Just saying I was pointing same thing about liverpool in 2014 about lack of experience of wining major trophies and i was right. Might be wrong this time but we see.
first major trophly for ages. Only blackburn in 1995 did it and they basically nearly threw it away from two wins from last six and needed west ham to same them on the last day to stop united.
They bottled it really but got away with it.

why they're a bad team. And Chelsea are also a bad team so don't try and tell me beating Chelsea is some kind of pointer to being a good side this season.

Agreed though, Palace are hilariously **** this year :hehe:
last season and unbeaten since december in the league.
They still got quality players mate like costa and cesc and everton did well to beat them last week.
everton are talented team mate and have won at places like stoke 3-0 . look their defence is rubbish and manager overated but still big win when they had week of and arsenal had less then two days to perpare for the game.

it is. West Ham and Utd will be tricky games. The Chelsea game will be irrelevant because they'll have already won the league by then.
and it be tough for Leicester. same as west ham, Southampton, chelsea and united will be
league won,t be over before last day trust me. only way that happens is if Leicester get 14 points from next six games.
doubt that very much

then we will not be champions. Back in the real world they can afford to lose games and still finish ahead of us.
