I had a smashing Banh Mi from a lovely Vietnamese lady on a stall in Enfield market earlier today.

She asked me how spicy I wanted it. Clearly, being asked such a question in a public place, my machismo forced me to say "Oh, pretty spicy, please. Don't hold back".

crisp, flavoursome and warm. The whole thing was simply delicious. I was walking around the park eating it and caught myself going 'Mmmmmm...MMMMM!' at one point. :hehe:

She will be getting my custom again. Even if I did have to wait 10 minutes for her to cook it. Oh yes. :nod:

I mean, I like an American sandwich (the USA's major contribution to the world of food if you ask me), but they're heavy, greasy, oversized and basically can't be eaten without making a disgusting mess. The Banh Mi is delicate, delicious and manageable.

As for the Croque Monsieur, it is quite simply not a f**king sandwich. It's got f**king bechamel on it and you have to eat the c**t with a knife and fork, ffs! They totally missed the brief there.
