match day programme?

Would save me going through the Everton press office, which can often be laborious.

Would need 20 mins with him on the phone over the next 2-3 weeks.

Or, at a push, you could do it yourself if you could record it?

Surely if you have been employed, or whatever the journalism term is, by the FA Cup programme people then you have a more direct route to player interviews than smoothing up to his BIL on an internet message board, albeit a vibrant and thriving board, a person who most likely, and I don’t quote here, thinks you are a c**t.

end of the Arsenal game coz one regular wanted to watch the rugby.

Conversation went:

“Sorreh lads, rugbeh’s on”

“Erm, there’s 20 mins left of the footy, would you mind awfully if we watched the end?”

“Ah dohnt foookin’ care how much time there’s left – I’m a regular”

The landlady sided with him so we upped and left, but with the zinger “It’s not even a proper sport anyway” ringing in their ears.

Needles to say, we had the last laugh :-|

Actually I would probably told you to get out upon arrival and first order.

The countryside was quite beautiful; mind you, it may have been Northamptonshire. Is there a difference?

The north remembers, Ash.

The midlands would understandably like to forget.

I followed the route of the Trent on a map recently. It seems to be an utterly illogical c**t of a river, it just meanders about all over the place and nearly doubles back on itself at times.

I don't really understand the north. To the layman, it would seem obvious that the country becomes more strange and barbarous the further up you go, but Birmingham is decidedly more third world than York, for example.

Also Chester seems remarkably civilised, yet lies only moments from Welshwales. Is that because it is of the west, rather than the north?

This is all most bewildering.

and 8 children under 4 for the weekend.

Things momentarily picked up when we learned there was a fully-equipped games room in the garden, only to discover a broken baby-foot table, a darts board but no darts and an autobiography of Murray Walker :-(

County towns are always county towns though, hence Chester, York and even Lancaster having relative airs of civility.

I may have mentioned the ex Barnsley miner at t'pit visit who, when asked of his views on Notts miners explained that he was not at liberty to divulge that information, as he had no idea who I was, and that I could be even a copper or something.

The least a programme buyer expects is an interview with a leading player / captain so the club should be duty bound by their participation to provide ready access.

with him quickly through PRSB ( for free) so you can then contct FA and say you have a great interview in the bag so will they bu it off you rather than they just get one themselves ? Why would they not jsut do it themselves ? Why should prsb help you earn money for no recompense whilst also making his brother in law think hes a bit of cnut ? ..so are you a bit of an ambulance chaser type journo ? thiswhol world is very odd ..why dont you go to a war zone and do something useful ?imo

logical outlet plus one main type of easily cuttable sedimentary soil/rock on top, lots of rivers if very flat floodplane/outlet plus bands of harder rock can go very meandery indeed ..hence my ultimate favourite...ox box lakes imo :cloud9:

Yes, as Snin says, there is the whole 'Thames valley' thing going on and London is a bowl but the Thames is the longer river covering a comparable distance.

By which I mean a parent of kids under 4, not a huge grouping of parents in this situation.

Few beers for you, few glasses of wine for the ladies, a few in excess on night one as the mixture of nerves and being uncomfortable in each other’s company results in one doing the dog.

Having kids is not the absolute end of letting one’s hair down.
