were first injured; oddly, we did well at that time, then just sort of... fell over

For what it's worth it seems to me that he probably should pacl it in at the end of the season. The whole atmosphere surrounding the club is now toxic, and it's hard to imagine him rebuilding a relationship with the majority of the crowd. :-(

it. As a result - say what you will - but Arsenal play bland, boring, repetitive, predictable, outdated and ineffective football.

FWIW, I think it's all farcical. Our performances, results, the fans' reaction and Wenger's response.

I suspect he'll finish his contract and that will be that.

analytical of his own performance and if we don't manage to win the league this season, I think he might retire.

I'll be very sad for it to end this way, but - while I've no time for the Wengeraht lot - I do think he's not helped himself by being a stubborn old ******* sometimes.

Form in the last 2 months. Granted, we weren't great before that but were getting results. He'll be given another season to turn it around

His whole philosophy since he walked through the door has been to get the right players in and instill them with the belief and self confidence to express themselves on the pitch.

As has been mentioned elsewhere and over many seasons it works when the players he has are world class or already proven winners (1997-2004) but youth and inexperience need more than just philosophical guidance, they need to be told what to do and to practice it.

Proven winners - they've all won shedloads, bar a couple. What they don't have is a great deal of team cohesion/spirit/whatever. They don't seem to care about each other or be able to function as a team.
