Secondly, pic or it didn't happen.
Thirdly, you must have seen Arsenal score more goals last night than home fans have for weeks.

at the beginning of the season, he said no. he was wrong. giroud before yesterday had not scored in 11 matches.

apart from that, he puts too much pressure on players. they get nervous and blow it.

finally, he has started to criticize player personally in the media. he didn't used to do that. I don't approve of such tactics.

post-finally, he fvcking old.

van Gaal tries to give it the high hand and Fleet Street gives him the horse's laugh in return and basically just banters him off.

I'm thinking The Press versus Pep next season will be similarly brilliant to watch.

him gone think like this. Look at the identity crisis United have had since Fergie left...

Why would you sacrifice being in the elite of the English game (maybe not quite as good as City or Chelsea when on form, but thereabouts) for a new manager who would very potentially take us out of the CL and way down the league.

Now you have to answer your own question: Who will you get to replace Him.

Classic Jorge

But yes, it's a cautionary tale. I think the main thing though is that Srfgsn actively didnt want anybody to come in and surpass him or his achievements.

I genuinely think Wenger is different, a less selfish and egocentric man, and I think he should be allowed to pave the way for his successor with an orderly, managed transition. I'd imagine he's been grooming his successor for some time and whoever it is already has an understanding in place.

Arteta, Henry, Vieira, Dennis, Remi Garde would all be in contention, I would imagine, though I doubt any of them fit the bill of the type of manager most fans would want to replace him.

Arguably, we've been suffering an "identity crisis" ever since Wenger joined us in the first place.

finalists isn't a bad identity crisis to have, imho.

Especially when you consider that the resources of our rivals are vastly greater than our own, whichever way you dress it up.

after some turbulent years and got Arsenal back in to Europe with a complete unknown with strange foreign ideas and no experience in English football was a complete gamble - as when Wenger replaced Rioch, Sometimes clubs have to take a risk to move forward.

Not that I agree with this point of view, but I can certainly understand it. (Not the more rabid c**ts who should be shot)

If it wasnt for Tapie's Marseille they would have won a lot more. The players he managed there included George Weah, Glenn Hoddle, Jurgen Klinsmann, Youri Djorkaeff, Emmanuel Petit, Lilian Thuram and Thierry Henry.

you can't say all you'd like in a pithy quip or soundbite, so you emolliate, you hedge, you try to show restraint. I'm sure your own feelings on the matter are far more nuanced and complex than you express them here as well.

Equally, "f**k off Wenger!" would've been easier to bannerise.

intolerant fans. Not for himself; he doesn't mind/is used to it/accepts it as part of the game. But he doesn't want his family, for example, bantered off, or worse, in the streets on football club-related matters, which are no real business of theirs.
