View Full Version : So we are unlikely to see Arteta as well as Rosicky in an Arsenal shirt again.

and who would have signed Arteta when he has hardly played and is on a good contract... apart from that, a good case made by yourself

cheaper than keeping them and someone would have taken a punt on a free.

two may be seen as a luxury. From what I heard, the Rosicky thing is interesting

and Rosicky was injured so nobody would have signed him..... hindsight is a lovely thing

Every single person who enjoys football would have wanted Rosicky to come back and play for us.

Retaining three elder (and quite injured of late) units in these two and Flamini was perhaps an error, offering two of them new deals at the time was perhaps an error. Arguably the one most deserving of the exit door was probably the one of the three who would refuse to budge.

withered them more than custom staled their infinite variety.

But I seem to recall Rosicky coming across as not exactly best pleased when his contract was extended, though I am not sure how this could be the case as presumably they would have to have his consent to do so.

The club exercised a further 1 year option but based on his playing time last year he may have welcomed an exit.

As it turned out he is banjaxed anyway.

possibly just to get a bit of money out of them. As it turns out the injury would have scuppered it anyway and he will probably go home in July. Hoping he can play again - planning a trip to Prague to watch him. Wonderful, wonderful footballer
