View Full Version : A little synopsis on the Old Galoot and his followers.

In no particular order, very random, just like Arsenal's current "brand" of football:

- last night the old galoot proved to himself what folly it had been to reward a player who had performed consistently and admirably (Campbell) by DROPPING him as soon as the brainless Ox and Theo Walcott were fit. Aside from a well taken Ox goal at Bournemouth, their contributions amounted to Nil.

- Theo Walcott - came to Arsenal underdeveloped, has stayed so for TEN years. 140k a week? Get outta here!

- ther old galoot was "surprised"by young Rashford. Really now? I thought AW watched even Albanian 3rd division games at home and possessed phenomenal knowledge of the game. Well, when a young player comes in and scores on his debut, playing a blinder, the momentum usually carries him in the same manner through the next couple of games. This has happened many many times. It really is no "surprise". Yet the Professor got caught out by it. Just like he got caught out by Stoke's throw-ins (which he laughed off pre-game) and Martin Skrtel at set-pieces (the most obvious player to mark). The examples are many.

- The amateurish lack of discipline instilled in the Arsenal teams of the past 6-8 years by the old galoot is interpreted as "freedom of self-expression", which usually involves Arsenal players going n dribbling mazy runs inside their own area and even penalty area, getting dispossesed and watching the opposition score. Clichy was good at this, Ramsey enjoys it, the Ox is an expert and the pinnacle was the most idiotic back heel in Arsenal history, executed perfectly by that little **** Fabregas at the Nou Camp, when it was 0-0 with seconds to go till half-time.

- The old Galoot, despite being something of a managerial genius for the first 10 years of his Arsenal tenure, was and still remains a very little man. He has made sure his predecessor George Graham has been swept under the carpet and has avoided even saying his name. In this respect he is just like Mourinho, only a better spoken Mourinho. The old galoot also didn't find it in his little heart to play Ian Wright for the last tenminutes of Ian WWW's last ever game for the club and left him warming up near the bench.

- The old galoot's fanatical followers spent the entire season underestimating Leicester, who are still TOP and BETTER than AW's Arsenal.

- Leicester OR Spurs may bottle it, one of them, but NOT BOTH. Arsenal fans talking of other teams "bottling" it is a bit rich anyhow.

- No Cech at Spurs means it could get very embarrassing.

But, as I say, it's a term of endearment.

he dresses well is an obvious plus, but is undermined by the way he constantly conjures up ways to make himself look like a fool. The fact that he hasn't bothered to learn to speak English properly forover 20 years makes him an arrogant sod as well.

any degree of sartorial elegance whatsoever. His suits are invariably poorly cut, his shirts are clearly not hand made and lack collar stiffeners, and he is unable to knot a tie.

Or out of them, tbh. He has no shoulders, chest, waist or buttocks worthy of the name, so clothes just hang off the skinny auld f**ker.

a thing of the distant past (i mean on match days). I would love to see him wearing outfits ala Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Chris Lee or Bela Lugosi (no,not capes), but it would be going overboard in the context of football.
