Bergkamp's Brain

It is a shame as Wenger has done so much over the last 12 years to keep us competitive and solvent. No other manager could have been able to do that given our circumstances. We've known this, we have known the constraints. Even the biggest whinger knows that we have had to play a different game to the Chelseas and Man Citys of this world over the last few years.
The problem is now we don't have to play that game. We still aren't City or Chelsea or even ManU but we are able to compete to an extent. It is beginning to look like Wenger is so entrenched in trying to do it his way that he is losing sight of the goal. Nothing succeeds like success. Within reason, if you win, no one cares how you did it. Principals, morals, the "right way" don't really hold much weight .
I do worry for the him. I hope he does not suffer these defeats too much. It is difficult to see a simple way out. Unfortunately, where can Wenger look other than at himself?
It is difficult to know or appreciate how good a manager Wenger has been until he actually leaves.
