Ladies who are on the blob are rarely 'doubled up in pain', in my experience. A couple of nurofen and a cup of tea is the way forward here.

But, faced with the situation, I would almost certainly insist that, if she's suffering period pains that are genuinely debilitating, that she goes to a doctor, since that isn't normal.

but the result will be that companies are put off from hiring women altogether. I mean, the candidate has to be pretty damn incredible for a small company to hire them if they have to take into account absence through maternity leave, and now monthly rag week leave

you can take an absence due to menstruation every month and it not count towards your absences - sort of thing.

I wonder how the pain level / threshold is objectively calculated.

before driving home, for another it's usually the only one that doesn't look like something Mad Max would regard as uncivilised and and for another we don't have any actual disableds in the entire building, so I don't have to feel guilty.

Also, there are loads of handgrips everywhere and my knees aren't what they were.
