Not sure why any person would expect it now.

I guess we will have fvcked it up by this time next week :-(

The boost that that last minute win against Leicester was supposed to give us? 0 wins in 3 :-(

sadly for him it could end up being done the hard way now but there will be no one to blame for it but himself

Having said that, a cup hat-trick would actually be quite a nice little record.

I have never been part of either faction, he must go or he must stay. I don’t want to push the old man out of the door but would welcome his exit, the change resultant from it and the new journey.

New ideas, new players and then some of the average players allowed to leave and play for average clubs more commensurate with their level. Thankfully I am not the man tasked with this or I would be f**king out at least half the team, more perhaps.

I still think we can win the league though I don’t think we will.

I still expect a few false highs all the same, maybe a win at WHL and the rabidly pro-Wenger people wag their fingers at the people they love to look down on, maybe an early lead in Spain and brief whispers about how we can do this.

as it has never been done since the middle ages. Of course Spurs winning the league would spoil it somewhat.

I've always been a staunch Wenger fan and defended him the comparative lean times when we were forced to play kids or **** players, and by and large, he got more out of them than I thought possible. But not being able to get more out of this lot is very worrying indeed.

"possibly better than winning the league".

That is something like Monty would post.

Maybe he'll win the league next year.

The biggest game Spurs have had in over a decade, very interesting to see how they cope.

But we'll only then piss it all away against them again.

But then you probably need to really analyse the entirety of those wins and the opposition, we seem to have been on a steady run of home games v lower league opposition for example, another year I seem to recall us playing a larger proportion of Premiership sides.

I admire and respect your willingness to look positively on things today however I feel I have no option based on your earlier assertion re the league.

A small bit of me died inside yesterday when they equalised as I knew what was next coupled with our complete ineptitude in the game in front of me.

Next week will tell us a lot. Can Wenger get a performance from his team or does Pochetinno really make a name for himself.

Their fans have no idea how to cope either and their general everyday hatred and bile will just spill over and create an atmosphere which may not be conducive for either side. It really is a fascinating game.

I might go out for a drive, and I hate driving.

and particularly when the FA Cup has not been prioritised over league position.

But when FA Cups are won, suddenly they are of little, or maybe even value. Clearly 1 league > 3 consecutive FA Cups in your valuation, and that might be fair comment. Is an FA Cup worth anything at all compared to the league. Is it better than 10 consecutive FA Cups? If not then we should not be bothering with it at all.

It is the 3rd or 4th priority over the course of a season depending on your viewpoint and is always worth winning. For fans I think it is brilliant as the day out at Wembley or Cardiff, the winning day out I should say, is brilliant and is what being a football supporter is about.

I personally would take 1 Premier League win over 3 consecutive wins all the same. To me it is without question the fundamental aim of top football clubs, the true judgement of being the best side in the country in that year.

This season, when so many others have stood back and given us a better chance than normal, winning the Cup will be little consolation to having blown the league, if indeed that is what happens.

We are a different level of domestic club to about 88 other sides in England, we’re a domestic giant. The FA Cup is an add-on to the primary aim but as said before it is worth winning as only 1 team can win the title. Winning things is important as we both know following the much reported on 10 year drought. It alleviates pressure, it is tangible success. For the players it is a medal.

Ashberto

especially if That Lot win the league. From the long view of historical success and trophy counts, 3 FA Cups on the spin would be appreciated more looking back from the future than it would at the moment. This was my original angle.

All very hypothetical anyway as I'm not expecting another FA Cup this year.
