With ROBW you had a lovely story about the raising of otters and all the concomitant tribulations and then out of nowhere a scotchman beats the otter to death with a spade and then the f**king thing ends, leaving generations of children horrified and shell-shocked by the sheer bleakness.

There was none of this sugar-coated happy ending **** in our day. We grew up with few illusions. :nod:
