opportunity to win the league for a while seems a bit of a misnomer, to me.

It may be a mathematical reality, I don't know, but, regardless of the numbers, isn't it still about seeing off our rivals during the run-in, the important period of the season in the Spring, which has been the issue in recent seasons?

I don't see what has changed there.

competing with teams spending hundreds of millions on players. I need to find a philosophical reference though to make the big bucks but I Kant, so I am forced to put Decartes before the horse and risk being all Confucious, but Thoreau it all we will put our Marx on the paper and Sartres it all out anon.

to title contenders, and yet, when at Chelsea, with all of the resources available, he was shown the door, primarily because of his inability to make up ground on Arsenal or United.
Perhaps there should also be a nod in the direction of a cohesive unit behind the scenes, from a supportive chairman through to a top scouting network.
You sense a real heartbeat at Lester. There have been a few times over the last eight years of Wengers tenure, when I haven't been sure if there's been a pulse. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

The likes of Mahrez and others will no doubt be lured away by the filthy lucre.
Fortunately, a talent scout probably won't have any impact on their playing staff's ability to finish the season before buggering off elsewhere.

That's quite an achievement.

our ability to attempt to win the title in the past few seasons.
I'm fairly certain that Lester will begin their inevitable mid to lower table slide next season but their achievements, alongside the rise of Spurs this season have dealt a bit of a blow to the given elite, who have the capacity to pay players anything north of 100k a week.

Ranieri deserves a lot of credit, as do his players, but the reality is that at this point they have done and achieved f**k all.

That may sound a wee bit harsh but it is how I roll.

Nobody remembers the great Norwich manager of 92 when they were top with 6 games left*

They've avoided relegation, which was their first objective.

According to Lineker we stole the wrong one.

Ben Wrigglesworth was their Head of Technical Scouting.
