patriarchalists and reactionaries are baying for the woman to be prosecuted for malicious perversion of the course of justice. The fact that the man walked past her without actually penetrating her vagina is immaterial. As a member of the phallocentric, misogynistic collective he would have wanted to insert his fingers into her believing it to be his right.

Yes, he may 'seem' oblivious to her existence as he walks by her, but this is merely indicative of the depth to which men are now going to hide their disgusting predilections - the spurious feigning of indifference. He's clutching a rolled up newspaper in one hand (wielding a phallic tool of repression) and holding his rucksack with the other hand; a rucksack probably full of depraved images of women in submissive and humiliating sexual contexts.

People carping about the fact that he didn't actually do anything are playing into the hands of would be rapists everywhere. It is vital that this woman's identity is kept secret and a travesty that she should even have been forced to go to court for justice in the first place.

allegations of sexual assault as true?

Still, we should all be very careful not to be anywhere near a woman while on crowded trains and platforms.
